The Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED course delivers high-quality, hands-on emergency medical training structured in strict accordance with the lifesaving standards of the American Red Cross.
This comprehensive course is designed for anyone needing to establish initial lifesaving credentials, fulfill workplace safety qualifications, or renew their current certifications.
Core Course Coverage
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR): High-quality chest compressions and ventilations tailored for adults, children, and infants. Learn to rapidly recognize cardiac arrest, clear the airway, and execute the critical links in the Chain of Survival.
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED): Safe, rapid deployment of AED units on both adult and pediatric patients. Participants will master proper pad placement, device voice prompts, pediatric conversions, and team-coordinated rescue protocols.
- Airway Obstruction (Choking): Immediate conscious and unconscious foreign-body airway obstruction clearance techniques (abdominal thrusts, back blows) for all age groups.
- First Aid & Traumatic Injury Management: Practical, field-expedient response protocols for acute trauma and sudden illnesses, including:
- Severe hemorrhage control (wound packing and proper tourniquet application).
- Shock management, environmental emergencies (heat and cold injuries), and burns.
- Recognizing and responding to strokes, seizures, severe allergic reactions (including epinephrine auto-injector deployment), and diabetic emergencies.
- Scene Assessment & Safety Protocols: Managing bloodborne pathogens, maintaining personal protective equipment (PPE), and conducting rapid, secure triage assessments before advanced medical personnel arrive.
Certification Earned
Upon successful completion of all classroom hours and practical skills evaluations, participants will be issued an official American Red Cross 2-Year Certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.
