Renewal Armed Guard
This mandatory 4-hour recertification course is required every two years for Tennessee armed security professionals. Participants must complete a live-fire qualification on an approved silhouette target course, achieving a minimum score of 70%. This course provides the state-required training and qualification transcript needed to maintain your armed registration and legal carry status.
Renewal Unarmed Guard
This state-mandated 2-hour refresher course is designed for currently licensed unarmed security professionals in Tennessee. The curriculum provides essential updates on the Use of Force Continuum, de-escalation strategies, and the legal powers and limitations of security personnel. Completion of this course satisfies the training requirements necessary to renew your unarmed registration card for another two-year period, ensuring you remain in full compliance with state law.
